Handmade Murano glass and 24k gold leaf globe necklace. I was inspired by the richly coloured, ornate painting of Hans Holbein, "The Ambassadors" to create this collection of sumptious, goldleaf burnished, contemporary glass jewels.
This elegant range adds a touch of understated luxury to any outfit and can be worn day or evening, light glows through the glass and shimmers on the gold leaf creating eyecatching little glimmers of colour and shimmer.
Each richly coloured glass globe is approximately 14mm in diameter and hangs from a 18"gold fill chain. I curate this collection a seasonal choice of opaque or transparent glass colours and matching/coordinating pieces are available in the Holbein range including drop earrings, stud earrings and fine chain bracelets.
All glass is carefully handmade in the torch flame by myself in my studio and kiln annealed for durability.

Goldfill chain is composed of a solid layer of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight) mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or jewellers brass. It is much higher quality than gold plate and should remain tarnish resistant with normal wear.
